Auto Trading (Third-Party Execution Only)

Some members choose to connect our alerts to third-party trade execution services such as Global AutoTrading or AutoShares. These companies are independent of SPX Option Trader and operate entirely outside of our service.

SPX Option Trader does not place trades in member accounts, manage accounts, or control order routing or fills. Our service is limited to publishing our daily market outlook and communicating our trade alerts. Auto-trading providers simply receive our alert emails and attempt to place trades based on those messages.

The following strategies may be used with third-party auto trading: Daily Outlook, Aggressive Trader, and SPX Spread Trader.

Because the order placement occurs after our alert is transmitted and then passes through a broker and execution system, the trades placed in an auto-traded account will not match the alert prices exactly.

Important Risks of Auto-Trading

Auto-trading carries risks that differ from manually following alerts.

• Alerts are delivered to auto-trading providers by email
• Execution occurs after the alert is sent
• Timing delays commonly range from 1–3 minutes
• Same-day expiration (0DTE) options can change price rapidly within seconds

As a result, slippage is unavoidable and can at times be significant. Repeated slippage over many trades can materially change an account’s results compared to the alert performance.

Performance results on our website are based on our model portfolio and reflect trades published in our alerts. Auto-traded accounts may experience better or worse outcomes depending on market conditions, fills, and execution timing. Individual account results cannot be predicted or guaranteed.

For this reason, auto-trading should be viewed only as a convenience option for those unable to monitor the market during the day. It is not a substitute for actively managing trades and is not appropriate for every trader.

We generally believe traders managing their own executions will have greater control over entries, exits, and risk.
